manage through a day with TWO toddlers when all you want to do is crawl into bed and sleep?
I was up late Wed night and very early Thursday morning (1st ingredient in this recipe for no sleep) and had high hopes of calling it a night early last night. I went to bed at 9:15 and turned on the TV (oops, 2nd ingredient) and saw the girls gymnastics finals were on with a few swimming events in between so I thought I would watch for a bit.
But before that happened my son was up again complaining of a suddenly very stuffy nose and a headache. I gave him some nose drops and Tylenol and went back to bed to try to catch the gymnasts.
By the time the two girls from USA won (Congratulations to Nastia and Shawn!) I had dozed off, oh well! My husband filled me in on the performances and switched off the light which I swear actually switched on the crying from the other room. My son was up again not feeling well so I brought him to bed with us (and the 3rd ingredient).
Poor Evan was up and down ALL night until about 4am. He’s finally asleep now but I don’t expect that to last too long since everyone else is awake and he actually needs the sleep.
So, you see my excuse for posting this late…I’m tired and not used to being up in the middle of the night so much anymore.
I’m curious what unique ways you have of dealing with the go-go-go of toddlers on little or no sleep!
