Today we are reviewing and giving away a subscription to a meal planning resource I was recently introduced to, e-mealz.com.
Our Associate Pastor’s wife introduced me to this service developed and offered by another associate pastor’s wife!
E-Mealz offers weekly meal planning based on current sales ads for several grocery stores, WalMart and Aldi.
- Ralph’s (CA)
- Kroger (and it’s affiliates)
- WalMart
- Publix
- and an Any Store Plan
They also break each of these meal plan into various dietary restrictions (low-carb, low-fat, weight watchers, vegetarian) as well as family sizes (family of 4-6 and 2 person meal plans).
I tried this for two weeks and so far, I love it…I do have to modify it a bit sometimes to meet my kids’ dietary restrictions but it gives me great ideas intended to be low-budget and to be family friendly!
I chose the WalMart plan and the Any Store plan because I felt those would be most versatile and would allow me to price match and still meet my budget.
The women behind E-mealz have designed the plan around sales cycles and regular pricing at each of the stores. If you’re not familiar with sales cycle shopping/planning, come back here in a couple of weeks, we’ll have a basic framework for you!
Each week’s plan includes the menu (with sides), brief instructions where needed and a complete shopping list!
The service is a subscription service (they ARE doing half your work for you!) but at just $5 a month it is SOO inexpensive I have found it to be a non-issue! You can even earn credit back for referrals!
They always have two weeks worth of menu plans available for each store so I’ve been printing and storing them so I can mix and match from 14 meals!
