Becentsable has teamed up with Kristi from The Organization People to bring you some money saving ways to clean up, clean out and get organized to save money, time and energy!
BEFORE
The Master Closet!
- Step 1 – Took everything out of the Master Closet
- Step 2 – Cleaned off the shelves and vacuumed
- Step 3 – Grouped LIKE items together (shoes, my clothes, his clothes, donations, trash, gift stockpile, purses etc.)
- Step 4 – Developed a plan (decided where everything needed to go).
- Step 5 – Put everything in its designated place, arranged and labeled.
Organization Tips:
- Don’t leave the room! Make a pile of things that need to put away in other rooms and distribute them after the room is finished. Stay on track and focused.
- Kristi suggested that we buy new hangers to make the closet look nice. This way we want to keep this area looking nice and more aesthetically appealing. I was reluctant to do this at first (since I am frugal by nature). I have to admit it made a BIG difference.
- Take your donation pile straight out to the car, so you can deliver this next time you travel out.

I love Huggable Hangers but if you want a great deal for something similar, Costco sells 50 slimline black hangers for about $16 which is a great price and the quality is good. Even though my closet doesn’t look like this, the hangers do make a difference. I used to use plastic ones but these are much better.

It looks great and I really like the bag/purse storage.

Wow-fantastic. I just cleaned out my closet last week. It sure makes a difference in finding things. I save more time by keeping things organize so I can spend lots of time on coupon saving! Thank you for the coupon database. I am loving it.
