Welcome back to Becentsable’s Holiday Boot Camp!
My friend Cathy has *THE* holiday party every year. She invites 20-30 women to her house and we all make and distribute cookies. Instead of spending hours on end in the kitchen or mega bucks at the specialty bakery, we spend an afternoon with friends making and sharing cookies. You can either show up with your cookies premade, or with the dough made so they go straight in the oven. I come home with well more cookies than I made and the selection is incredible.
The same premise holds true for wrapping paper. Instead of buying 10 different rolls of wrapping paper, even if you do have to fulfill your child’s school fundraiser request, buy one roll and host a wrapping party. Tell your friends to bring their presents and wrapping paper, tissue paper, ribbons and tape as well.
Then share.
What better way to spend a snowy December Saturday than drinking hot chocolate while watching holiday movies, and catching up with friends as you wrap presents in different designs. You save money by only shelling out for one type of paper, but you walk away with an elegant and crafty display of gifts sure to impress your family on the big day.
