Crock Pot Sloppy Joes
Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef or turkey (Use 2 lbs for thicker Sloppy Joes)
- 8 oz tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 Tbsp cider vinegar
- 2 Tbsp mustard
Instructions
- Brown ground beef or turkey until cooked and drain.
- Place beef or turkey in the crock pot and add all remaining ingredients.
- Stir well.
- Cook on low for 4-6 hours.
This recipe is perfect for a night when you need dinner ready when you walk in the door!
Tip: I used sweet BBQ sauce in my recipe but you can add a different flavor by switching up the type of BBQ sauce you use!

I made this last night for dinner, except it was cooked on the stove instead of the crock pot.. This recipe was so good! The only thing different is I sautéed some bell pepper and onion. It was pretty runny so I added a little corn starch to thicken it up. Definitely a keeper!!!!

I just put this in the crock pot but it seems really runny. Any suggestions if it doesn’t thicken up? I’m afraid I’ll have to stain it!!

Mine was also very runny, so I just added another pound of meat. Worked perfectly! Plus, who doesn’t like more meat? The recipe is very delicious!

Great recipe! A solution for the runnyness. Use 2 lbs lean ground beef, add onions & green peppers (if you like those) and omit the water.
