If you were here last weekend you might have seen that my budget was $50 a week. I was a little over last week since I made a quick trip to pick up some additional produce (apx $10 over)
This week I was about $6 over…bummer.
I went to Price Chopper, HyVee, Aldi, Wal-Mart and CVS (of course). The Wal-Mart trip was not a necessity but I did get some really good deals there so it was worth it.
I spent $55.94, with tax even! I don’t have a photo to upload since we are at my MIL’s today, but if I get a chance tonight I will include a photo.
Here’s what I got:
3 gallons milk
7 lbs chicken
3.5 lbs pork loin chop
1 pkg jalapeno cheddar brats (for my husband…NOT on the list or in the budget but how could I say no?)
2 pkgs Borden shredded cheese
1.5 lbs onions
1 cantaloupe
4 tomatoes
4 green peppers
2 pkgs mushrooms
2 6-packs YoBaby yogurt
3 4lb bags Purina dog food
2 packs clean team wipes
1 large pkg M&M’s (potty training rewards!)
1 Seventh Generation dish detergent
1 Seventh Generation bathroom cleaner
6 Speed Sticks
Some of the Speed Stick at CVS was on clearance for $.75/ea so I got 5 of those and used 5 $1/1 coupons to make a little money towards my milk. The 6th Speedstick was the one with ECB back so I made another $1 there!
I found out today that our local HyVee will price match! Woohoo!
Check back on Monday to see what I’m making with all of this!
