As school starts up again (pre-school for some of us!) Mom’s everywhere are strategizing ways to get their kids to eat a healthy lunch…and, sad to say, it’s not likely to happen by letting them buy lunch from the school.
It’s hard enough to get your kids to eat well when you are in the same room with them, add a room full of their peers, and an adult to child ratio of 30:1 (at best), and you are looking to move Heaven and Earth.
I have recently come across several sites offering suggestions and resources for packing healthy, nutritious lunches your kids will actually eat! And there are some good resources in the mix that talk about WHY it’s so important!
:: iLunch Box (a website dedicated to your kids lunch!)
:: Parents.com (all about feeding kids and nutrition)
:: Another on Parents.com (lunch specific recipes!)
:: Kids’ Health
What do you do to help your kids make healthier lunch choices? What recipes and tricks have worked for you?
