What is the Grocery Gathering?
The Grocery Gathering at BeCentsAble is a resource for shoppers to find current grocery and drugstore deals from all over the blog world in one place! We include store deals from the circulars, deals spotted through in-person shopping, coupon match-ups and previews of the sales in the coming week. The Grocery Gathering includes links to many local grocery stores as well as all the national chains.
Don’t waste time and energy reviewing all of your circulars, flipping through your coupons and scouring the web for information–just visit the Grocery Gathering where all the information in ONE place!
The Gathering is also a place for bloggers to come together to share information and get their blogs noticed.
How does the Grocery Gathering work?
Readers
1) Locate the Grocery Gathering at BeCentsAble.net.
You can always find the Grocery Gathering by clicking the Grocery Gathering tab at the top of each page or the logo in the right side bar.
2) Find your local grocery or drugstore.
The Gathering is broken into four categories. Stores are alphabetized within those categories:
- National Chains (Current Deals)
- National Chains (Previews of the Upcoming Week)
- Local Chains
- Shopper Resources
Below each store name is one or more contributing blogs.
3)Pick the blog or blogs you want to view and click the link.
4) Come back often!
Regular Contributors
1) Post your store deals on your blog or website.
2) Add the Grocery Gathering logo and link to the sidebar of your blog.
Please also add a link that leads back to the main Grocery Gathering homepage or to the blog homepage. The link should be attached to the logo.
3) Include a link back to the Grocery Gathering homepage with each participating Grocery Gathering post.
Including a logo with each post is optional.
4) Email a static link of your posts to centsable.katherine[at]gmail[dot]com.
Your post MUST have permanent/static link. To create a static link, label each store post with the store’s name (eg. CVS), and then publish your post. When you see your published post there should be a label with the store name either at the top or the bottom of your post. Click that label (eg. CVS). After you’ve clicked on the label, what should happen is that all the posts with that label will appear (eg. you’ll see only CVS posts). To get the URL address, just highlight and copy it in the address bar. That will be the static link. If you need more help, please e-mail me.
If you would like me to include your location with your posts, please include your location when you email your links. For an example of links with locations included, please see the Kroger listings in the Grocery Gathering. Including a location may help those who live in your area to find deals that are relevant to their local stores.
5) Update your posts weekly as applicable.
If you take a vacation or have another reason for not posting weekly, please write a brief post stating that you will not be posting and also when you will return. It is important that you label this post the same way you label your store posts (eg. CVS). If you do not post for more than two weeks in a row and I have not heard from you, I may remove your blog link from the list although I will try to make contact with you first.
