A few weeks ago we were offered gift cards to Marhsall’s and TJ Maxx in exchange for visiting the store, making a purchase and offering our feedback to you. Just as side note…it still seems amazing to me that we are offered all of these great things!
It’s amazing how hard it is to get to the store to shop for yourself when you have two kids!
Eventually though, we did make it…and really liked it! It’s a great place to get new stuff for a lot less money.
Shopportunites! Both TJ Maxx and Marshall’s have name brand items (as well as some off label stuff) for MUCH less than the department stores. They claim prices are 50% off! We saw some of that!
Two downsides for a Mom:
1) the selection is hit and miss – they don’t carry an inventory to speak of; there’s no way to know what you are going to find or in what sizes
2) you can’t run in and get what you need quickly!
I had to make a special evening trip to get my shopping accomplished because I have the kids with me during the day and it just wouldn’t have been productive for me to go with them and browse around a store!
Once I was there however, it was like a treasure hunt! I personally really love going to the Thrift stores around Phoenix for that very reason! You aren’t limited by what the fashion industry is promoting in a given season. You kind of have the whole world available to you! so, we enjoyed it 🙂
Overall we both liked the two stores
1) Savings: good quality, low prices – some really great deals!
2) Enjoyment: it’s a "me time" store (we all need that!)
It’s a fun place to go browse when you have spare time.
Have you shopped at TJ Maxx or Marshalls? What did you think?
