As you may have heard, there has been a recall of many products across various brands and product types due to salmonella contamination in a US peanut processing facility.
Recalls are still in process and many products may still be on shelves and in your home pantry.
- Initially, the recall by PCA (Peanut Corporation of America, the originator of the contamination) included a note that “consumers were unlikely to be affected”, this has turned out not to be the case as PCA’s recall has been expanded to include peanut paste used in many packaged snack products and ice creams! Please read the recalls and check the list linked below.

And be sure to check the list of recalls of products with known contaminations and possible contaminations.
NOTE: there is only one actual brand of peanut butter spread on the list
