This week we will focus on evaluating your pantry and deciding how you plan to shop to make the most of the great deals with the time you have and effort you want to put in.
You are now shopping successfully at your local drugstores (CVS, Walgreen’s Rite-Aid) and able to achieve great savings there. You should also be getting more familiar with the grocery ads in your area keeping an eye on items from your “Stand by Meals” worksheet that you can stock up on.
We want to expand your stock-up list so you can see even more savings. To do this you’ll need to make a list of what you have on hand currently.
Get a thorough inventory of what’s in your kitchen. When you are doing this, make a mark next to items you know your family uses regularly.
Continue steps from weeks 2 and 3
Think about how you want to shop. Do you want to spend a little more time each week and hit several stores or do you want to keep it simple and just shop one grocery store?
Next week we will start basic meal planning!
