If you are planning on doing some spring cleaning, I wanted to point out some fantastic green resources that will help you use the tools and ideas that we’ve been discussing in the Green Space:
- Over at the Martha Stewart Living website, there is a very helpful printable spring cleaning plan. Mix up some batches of the nontoxic cleaners we’ve posted here first, pick a room to start from, and dive in.
- Decluttering? Real Simple magazine has a guide at their website called How to Recycle Anything. Take a look at it before you start, and sign up for freecycle, too. You would be amazed at how many people want the stuff you don’t need anymore, so post your clutter and let it bless someone else’s home.
- While you’re at it, don’t toss those clothes with holes right away. At Craft:, it’s March Mending Month and they have dozens of posts on how to fix common small problems to lengthen the life of your items.
What are your spring cleaning tricks we can learn from? How do you plan to clean greener this year? Leave me a comment, I need inspiration!
You can find Meagan blogging here many Tuesdays, at her blog sage green frugal parenting, and tweeting in between, too!
