Every other Friday I share a family tip in the Family Tip Friday series, but this has been a crazy week accompanied by a few computer issues so I thought I’d take the time to write a personal update instead of one of the posts I have brewing in my head for the series. (By the way, my experience with being a mother only extends to my toddler who just turned two and the baby on the way so if any of you more experienced mothers would be willing to write a guest post for Family Tip Friday I’m all ears!)
Like I just mentioned, for those who don’t know, I have a daughter who is just over two years old and we are expecting a baby boy in October. Our life is looking like it’s going to be plenty busy before October, too, because we just put our house on the market a week ago. We don’t plan to move far, but we would love to have a bit more space before welcoming a second child to the family, especially if he turns out to be a light sleeper like his older sister. We’ve had a really successful week on the market so far with 16 showings and several more scheduled for the weekend. I have no complaints at all about having so many showings, but it has made blogging this past week a little challenging since we’re never home for long. When I do get a chance to sit down to do some blogging, I’d love to share the tips I’ve learned for making life easier while the house is on the market and when preparing to move.
Until then, I will be doing my best to keep up with the regular features, adding stores to the Grocery Gathering and posting the hottest deals I find while also entertaining my toddler, Anna, and attempting to keep the house spotless so we can be ready to vacate with little notice. I am so thankful that my second trimester has been so easy I sometimes forget that I’m pregnant or this could have really been a challenging week! As it is, we’re all a little tired, but we’re thrilled the house is getting such a good response of interested buyers and great feedback. Hopefully we’ll be under contract soon! Thank you for your patience in the meantime.
