Here are some easy side dishes to help you stay on budget this 4th of July! When I have a party I don’t want to be in the kitchen all day or spend a ton of money. Here are 3 easy recipes for under $3 and with only 3 ingredients to help you save time and money.
Baked Beans:
3 cans of Baked Beans
1 cup BBQ sauce
Few slices of bacon
Preheat oven to 35o degrees. Cook bacon and cut into small pieces. Mix 3 cans of baked beans, 1 cup of BBQ sauce, and bacon. Cook for 30 minutes.
Easy Potatoes Salad:
3 lbs of potatoes
2/3 cup creamy Italian Dressing
Basil
From Good Housekeeping-In saucepan, combine 3 pounds small red potatoes and enough water to cover. Heat to boiling; reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are fork-tender, about 15 minutes. Rinse under cold water and drain well. Cut potatoes into 1-inch chunks and place in bowl; stir in 2/3 cup bottled creamy Italian dressing, ¾ teaspoon salt, and 1 cup chopped fresh basil.
White Cake:
Cake
Frosting
Sprinkles
Make cake according to package direction (if you are feeling energetic make one from scratch). Decorate with red, white, and blue frosting and sprinkles.
If you want something a little more fancy use whip cream and top with fresh strawberries and blueberries. This will add to the cost of this dish.
