Walgreens has finally released a coupon policy! Make sure to print this out and take this with you when you shop. Click here to see the new policy.
Here are a few highlights:
- Walgreens accepts valid internet/print at home coupons.
- Walgreens accepts one manufacturer coupon and applicable Walgreens coupon(s) for the purchase of a single item, unless prohibited by either coupon offer.
- The coupon amount must be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied. (For example, a $5.00 coupon for a $4.99 item will result in a $4.99 coupon value).
- When items are featured in a Buy One, Get One Free promotion, up to two coupons can be used against the items being purchased, as long as the net price does not go below zero for the items being purchased.

I’ve had problems in the past with Walgreen’s refusing to give up register rewards when the item for which the rewards are being given are purchased using a manufacturer’s coupon. I had some pretty heated discussions with store managers over this issue and I’ve never received an answer to any emails sent to corporate regarding the policy. Does anyone know the policy regarding issuing rewards when using coupons?

The coupon policy doesn’t say anything about this. I do know most stores will let you use MF coupons and get Register Rewards. Maybe you can call headquarters and ask (1-800-WALGREENS)

Why does Walgreen’s advertise “$ Coupon savings in most Sunday papers” right next to a Register Rewards item, if they don’t want you to use a coupon in the deal? What your store manager says makes no sense considering these $ Coupons statements are mentioned several times each week and numerous different weeks in the national Walgreen’s ad.

Good point-maybe you can show this to the manager!
