Thanksgiving break means family time in our home. Fall is the busiest time of year for my husband (a high school football coach). So, we like to relax and enjoy Thanksgiving break. We also enjoy getting out and having a great time together.
Thanks to Groupon, we were able to have an incredible time this year over Thanksgiving break and we stayed completely within our budget! Groupon is a fabulous daily deal site which offers unbeatable prices through the power of group buying. Every day or so, Groupon will offer an amazing deal on the best things to do around your town; such as dining out, entertainment or even special gifts.
One of our outings was a family fun day! We picked up Grandma and headed for Build-A-Bear. We only spent $10 for $20 worth of bear making accessories and clothing with a Groupon I picked up last month. My girls had a fabulous time picking out a new outfit for their bears! They carried those bears absolutely everywhere we went for the rest of the week. Afterwards, we all went to lunch. We used another Groupon, of course! This time we got $25 worth of pizza for only $10. What kid doesn’t love pizza! We even had leftovers for later. We save over 50% on our family fun day!
Our next outing was a date night! My husband and I had been planning to have an overnight date for several months. This was only the second time we have ever left our girls overnight, so it was a huge deal for us. That night we dropped off the kids and we were on our way. We started our evening with a very fancy dinner at a swanky downtown restaurant. I picked up a Groupon over the summer which saved us 50% on dinner! We made sure to stay within our voucher amount, so we only paid the tip out of pocket. Then, we headed to a beautiful old hotel in the heart of downtown. You guessed it – I picked up the hotel stay on Groupon! It only cost us $99 for a one-night stay in a king superior room. The package included valet parking, a bottle of wine and breakfast for two. The hotel package was originally $300! We had an amazing evening and stayed within our budget!
Many thanks to Groupon for helping make our Thanksgiving break so incredible!
Have you been able to save a bundle with Groupon? I would love to hear your stories!

I made 2 scrapbooks and Christmas cards using the Picaboo Groupon. Every year the Grandparents get a scrapbook with the years events, I’m not aways able to get them free because it is a year in review and I don’t have all of the events pictured. This saved a lot of money!
