I did a fast trip to the store this week to pick up some hot items for my stockpile and some fruit. We should have chicken for a very long time.
39 lbs. of Chicken Breast-$1.30 lb.
4 Campbell’s Soup-$.19 each (on sale and used coupon)
3 Double packs of Guacamole-$2.99 each (use $2 off coupons)
Apples-$.99 lb
Blueberries-$1.99
Total=$67.61

Price Chopper has Chick Noodle soup on sale, but I can’t find a coupon that you can use with this kind… did you only get the ‘Great for Cooking’ soups? and what coupon did you use if you didn’t?
I got the Chicken Noodle and Tom. soup. I used a printable that I had for a bit (no longer available).

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but I went shopping today and got
8 campbells tomato soup
8 1-lb 85/15% ground beef
24 Banquet TV dinners
1 5 lb bag potatoes
1 bucket of ice cream
1 loaf of bread
6 boxes of the Seapak Shrimp poppers
and an apple for my son.
Total 50 items
Total spent: $42.56 + two rain checks each for 12 Banquet TV dinners at 59 cents a piece. Once I add in the 24 tv dinners comes out to 77 cents an item.
Am I missing something? What store was this deal at?
I may have missed this somewhere but where did you find chicken breast for 1.35/lb? Thanks!
This week started the famous Shop Rite Can Can Sale – where all the canned goods were on sale. We spent over $125 BUT we got so many cans of canned tomato goods, canned corn, canned beans, etc that we won’t need to buy any for a long time. Ronzoni was on sale 88 cents a box so we got 12 boxes. The canned beans were also 88 cents a can. It is the best time of year to shop the store.
The only thing that frustrated me was that I had a Cellfire digital coupon for the Chex Bars. First they were hard to find. Second, there was only 1 of each of 2 flavors left. one flavor was something I knew my son would hate so I didn’t buy any at all. I couldn’t find the canned peaches that were on sale too.
We spent a lot, at least $80 more than normal but we got a ton more. Plus I brought every canvas bag I own and we still needed to get store bags.
