I have a list of 30 recipes I know how to make and that my family will eat. The goal is to make only these 30 recipes until I get a stronger rein on my food spending. My next step is to compile a list of ingredients for all 30. Finally, I will inventory our pantry, fridge and deep freeze.
Now I can start a price and sale book. With this I’ll know when to buy and with the 30 recipe rotation, I’ll know how much to buy.

care to share the recipes?
sounds like a great idea.
Wow – what a fabulous idea!!! I too would love to know what recipes have become your staples for your family and your budget!
With 30 recipes there’s a pretty good chance that the ingrediants you use to make those 30 will probably work to make another 100 different recipes.
I love it! I had made a New Year’s resolution to make monthly meal plans, compile all ingredients into a list & shop accordingly. I like how you go one step further & reuse the list until spending is under control. I’ll be following your footsteps!
