This week I got a new cookbook called The Best of Clean Eating. This cookbook features recipes with fresh, seasonal produce. I loved this cookbook and decided to plan my menu around some of these recipes. First, I checked what items I had in my stockpile and then looked for recipes that had these ingredients.

1 Gallon Milk
2 lbs Zucchini
2 lbs Apples
3 lbs Asparagus
3 lbs Oranges
Blueberries
1 Bag Organic Carrots
2 lbs Sweet Potatoes
3 lbs Bananas
2 lbs Grapes
3 lbs Onions
1 Can Chicken Broth
1 Jar Applesauce
1 Can Tomato paste
1 Can Broccoli Soup
Total: $28.46
Here is my menu:
Breakfast:
Oatmeal
Cereal
Bagels
Lunch:
PBJ
Tuna Cass.
Soup
Grilled Cheese
Dinner:
Shepherd’s Pie
Baked Chicken & Asparagus Casserole
Turkey & Chickpea Burgers
Veg. Pizza
*Side items are sweat potato fries, frozen vegs, potatoes, fruit, and bread.
Snacks:
Fruit Shakes, Apples, Grapes, Oranges, & Granola Bars
