What is the cheapest way to get containers? I am horrible about not putting things in containers because I don’t want to fork over the dough to pay for all of those containers. Thank you for all you do!

Sherrie,
Here is a tip from one of our readers that can help:
I save all kinds of containers to organize things (bread bags, baby food jars and envelopes). You can cover most things with paint and paper to make them pretty.

I save plastic containers that once held lunch meats, margarines, cheeses and oat boxes and use these to store whatever will fit in them.

I have gotten decent containers at the Dollar Tree Store. Other Dollar stores may have them as well.

I love baby wipe containers. I used to dress them up but now they come decorated to match most decor. I use them for just about anything. (They’re good for crayons or tools or makeup and hair bows.) I also love clear plastic shoe boxes! Like Mae said, the best place is the Dollar Store to get them unless you see them on sale in an add. I use those quite a bit too. I stack them and take either a picture of what’s inside or write it on a postcard and tape it to the front so it can be seen easily. You can do that for bigger boxes too. I did that this winter in my basement. I have a walk in closet that is used for storage and it makes it so much easier trying to find things! The hardest part? Well, that was getting started.

Try thrift stores if you don’t have containers from product you already use. Sometimes the money goes to a good a good cause and it can be priced from 10-25 cents.
