We are hosting Thanksgiving at our home this year for my family of 18. I was trying to figure out a way to “dress up” my tables and include my children in the festivities with a frugal craft.
We decided, it would be nice to make homemade placemats for each person. My children love to paint and create, so I thought that leaves, fruit, vegetables and flower tops are FREE, we already have paper and paint is fairly inexpensive on sale, so ready or not, crafting, here we come!
We were at a Craft Store and they had different washable Crayon paints on sale so I picked up a package with four fall colors. We used all 4 colors on each one but they are each so different. I am thinking of laminating them for future use (reduce, reuse, recycle), as well as being able to write each person’s name on the placemat.
I think they turned out GREAT! I’m very excited to have them on my Thanksgiving Table. Wishing you a blessed Thanksgiving!
