Keep Thanksgiving table decor simple with a monogrammed ornamental squash that you can use as place cards.
Use your miniature pumpkins from Halloween or purchase a few from the grocery store – my store had them on sale for $.50. Mix it up with different colors and shapes just keep in mind that they need to ‘sit’ on the table and have a nice surface area large enough for a monogram or name.
Using acrylic paint, paint the monogram of your guests on the best ‘side’ of the squash. I free-handed my letters but you can use stencils if you like. If you have a color scheme you can spray paint your squash and then paint on the monogram. This is a nice craft for older children.
Finish your table decor with a few simple candles. Remember to let the food be the star of the day!
