Reuse to save on clothes!
Anna’s (YourRetailHelper) son had worn out the same knee in all his jeans. So this summer, instead of buying him new jean shorts, she decided to cut off his jeans and hem them. It’s saving her quite a bit of money on his summer wardrobe. Even if she had to pay a seamstress to do this for her, it would still be less than buying all new shorts. (Remember to use a heavy cotton thread and a needle intended for heavy/denim material.)

I do the same thing with sweatpants. Instead of buying the sweat shorts that look like cutoffs, I cut the sweats that have holes in the knees.

I always hated cutoffs. I remember being picked on at school. 🙁
