Frugal gidyness comes out in me at Springtime!
There are two things I start thinking about at the first HINT of warm weather: Consignment Sales and joining a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) Co-Op.
For starters: check in tomorrow morning for more information on amazing consignment sales starting soon!
- We have a giveaway for some (yes that’s more than one!) of our LUCKY readers and some tips for your first (or tenth) consignment sale visit!
Now, a bit more on CSA’s…
We’ve written about them before but now’s the time to be thinking about what you want to do come springtime. In MOST parts of the US, CSA’s are active during late Spring, Summer and early Fall. Some of us (in the warmer climates) are active all year and are truly blessed and spoiled to have such fabulous produce selections all year round but the majority will be able to participate from May to September.
We cannot encourage you enough to find a CSA and join! Three really great reasons (even though all you need is ONE!)
- you will save money: to the tune of 40% or more each week,
- you will be eating healthier (often organic!),
- buying locally grown foods supports your community!
