Instead of spending money on children’s makeup that is only going to be pitched after the fact, for small projects donate some of your makeup to the process or make your own!
For just about any color, take some of your cold cream (or buy a generic version for $3 that will last longer than just 15 days, as the children’s makeup seems to do) and use food coloring to change the color. Apply this color to face. Find more home made recipes go HERE.
For black you can easily do the above, but for real small projects you can also use some of your own makeup, such as an eyeliner pen or mascara. A little dab of these will go a long way to make your precious angels look like demons and witches!
