You may have heard or read lately about BPA-free stuff popping up all over the place. While this may seem like a consumer scam to get your money I am beginning to believe (and adjust my actions accordingly) that it is not!
This morning there was an article on Yahoo! Green about this very topic and many toy companies have been in the news lately with their commitment to go BPA-Free.
I think I’ll be switching to glass and avoiding the microwave!
This could be a pricey endeavor but – one I think well worth the cost (and the avoidance cost as well!)
Thankfully I nurse my daughter so I don’t have to switch out my bottles. I have included a list below of BPA-free bottles as well! Time to hit those yard sales.

While I’m leaning toward the earlier opinions that BPA is not safe (aren’t there enough toxins floating around us? why add to the mess even at small “safe” levels?), I have to be fair in posting this information…

NOTE: “These are a few of the things I’ve found are BPA-free and it’s hard to find bottles made from polypropylene or glass as an alternative for baby bottles, so I thought I’d draw attention to the ones that are. Polypropylene has the number 5 on it, if it has any recyclable number. Polyethylene has #1, #2, or #4 on the underside and they are not supposed to affect the baby’s endocrine system like the bpa does. The Polycarbonate bottles are #7, they have the bishpenol-A bpa in them, they are very hard, rigid, and usually clear like glass. ”
