If you look to the right sidebar of our blog you will notice a new widget from the “SavvySource” for Parents!
The tool is a wonderful way to accomplish two tasks in one. First, you can gauge your child’s development and skills by completing their assessment quiz. It takes a little bit of time (apx 20 mins) but is well worth it, plus this ensures the results are bsed on more concrete evidence! Second, you will get age appropriate recommendations to improve their skills! Books, games and toys. LeapFrog (which is a FABULOUS company!) sponsors the widget.
You can make a list of the recommended products and go look for them at the store (or what we do, the library, consignment, craigslist and thrift shops!).
I was so excited to do this for my son and I was surprised by the results and made new reading and activity choices based on it. Today is library day, too!
