We’ve been feeling crafty this week and have done a few things I wanted to share!
I found these in my Parent magazine issue this month:
Colored Foaming Soap
:: We used a empty foaming soap bottle we had around the house, filled it with an inch of clear liquid soap (it was dish detergent), 1-2 drops of food coloring and the rest with water. SHAKE WELL! We’re going to do this at Halloween.

Liquid Chalk
:: Crush 1-2 pieces of chalk (we used sidewalk chalk) and add about an inch of water, paint on the sidewalk with paint brushes
Colored Pencil (or marker) keeper (we haven’t finished it yet)
:: this nifty little thing, rolls up and fastens with buttons and hair ties to keep things nice and in order
:: Here are the directions from Parents
The last project is one I made up but haven’t started yet…I hope to get it done soon!!
It’s a large (3’x3′) felt wall calendar for my kids. They can change it around to show the weather each day, learn how to plan a day’s activities and see exactly what tasks need to be completed at what time of day.
We’ll have things like Month, Season, Day of the Week, Weather, Morning Activities, Afternoon Activities, Special Occasions, etc. There will be little pictures on card stock with Velcro to attach them to the calendar.
